It's possible to create a meaningful, affordable, and healing funeral experience for loved ones. 

My mission is to empower our community to reclaim end-of-life processes so that when a loved one dies the healing journey can begin, because their wishes are known and can be respected. 

This begins with talking about death and dying while we are well and healthy, thinking about what we want for ourselves and then letting our loved ones know our wishes. We might be at peak health and fitness today but our future isn't guaranteed - accident or illness could affect any of us at any time but talking about death and dying does not bring it on.

Empowering and supporting others to make the best decisions for themselves ahead of time, is a major gap in the funeral industry that I can help to fill. 

I want to help families avoid expensive pitfalls and impersonal funerals that can exacerbate grief when a loved one dies. If we know what our loved one wanted then we can ask the right questions and feel empowered when making funeral arrangements.

Drawing on extensive research in the funeral industry, coupled with Death Walker training and hands-on experience at a community-based funeral service, I've supported families to wash and dress their loved ones in preparation for the funeral – one of the most powerful acts of healing I have witnessed.

I have conducted End of Life conversations with people at all stages and circumstances of life, including those with a life-limiting diagnosis, childless singles and those wanting to take care of business and be clear with their family about what they want when the time comes.

I provide advice and guidance when families find themselves suddenly needing to organise a funeral, having no idea where to start or what to ask.

I was a researcher for 15 years in the public service and now apply those skills to finding useful and reliable information to assist families make good decisions about end of life issues, now and into the future.
